Your Protection
The benefit of cover
ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) and ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) are two key UK protection schemes that safeguard travellers when booking holidays.
ATOL is a government-backed financial protection scheme run by the Civil Aviation Authority that covers package holidays or flights booked with UK travel companies. If a company ceases trading, ATOL ensures you don’t lose your money and guarantees you’ll be brought home if you’re already abroad.
ABTA, on the other hand, covers non-flight-based package holidays—such as rail, cruise, or coach trips—and provides support, guidance, and financial protection if something goes wrong with your booking.
When booking holidays through us, ATOL and ABTA protections mean your money is secure, you won’t be stranded, and you have professional support should your travel provider fail. However, these schemes do not cover general travel issues such as lost luggage, medical emergencies, changes to personal circumstances, or cancellations outside the travel company’s control—these require separate travel insurance.
